Debut CD on Screamin Heart Records

Sharon's new CDSharon DiFronzo’s shining self-titled debut on Screamin’ Heart Records is a collection of 12 originals co-written by this Boston based singer/songwriter. Eleven of the 12 songs were written with her long-time songwriting partner, Michael Nolette, who has an obvious talent for creating memorable melodies. The remaining song ("Mistaken Identity") was written with the arranger/producer of her album, Harry King, a well-known and respected veteran of the music industry, with hundreds of albums to his credit.

The album, while adult contemporary in genre, has a wide range of flavors for everyone, from sweet ballads such as "Corners", to the torchy blues ballad "Through Space and Time", to catchy, mid-tempo treats with a twist of attitude like "Comin’ and Goin’ and "Now She Can Have You", to more edgy, driving cuts like "High Expectations", which ends the album on a wonderfully high note. The songs, like Sharon herself, reflect a mixture of tenderness, passion and strength, which will never leave you wondering how she’s feeling.

CD back coverThe CD is dedicated to the memory of Sharon’s brother, who lost his battle to AIDS in 1993, and the extremely moving "I’ll Think of You That Way" was written especially for him. The universal theme of the song simply conveys to those to have suffered such a loss to try to think of the good times "in better days", which was the key to Sharon making it through the most difficult period of her life.

The feedback on the CD, both from industry professionals and the general public, has been impressive. The most repeated comments are that the singer is unique and captivating, and that the listener easily connects to the songs, both key elements to a successful album. There has also been much praise for the high quality of musicianship and production, which have combined a perfect balance of ingredients to give each song its own charm.

With all of the excitement surrounding this debut CD by Sharon DiFronzo, we can’t help but have high expectations.
